How to use the crypto profit calculator
- Pick the coin from the top 100 cryptocurrencies, and your currency (USD, EUR, GBP or CZK).
- Choose how you invested: the amount of money you put in, or the number of coins you hold.
- Enter your buy price, the price per coin when you bought.
- Enter a sell price, or tap Use live price to see your profit if you sold right now.
- Add exchange fees. Most exchanges charge 0.1%–0.6% per trade; card purchases often cost 1.5%–4%.
The calculator instantly shows your profit or loss, your return in percent, the total fees you paid, and your break-even price: the sell price you need just to get your money back after fees.
How crypto profit is calculated
Profit = (coins × sell price − sell fee) − total cost
For example, if you invested $1,000 in Bitcoin at $50,000 with a 0.1% fee, you bought about 0.01998 BTC. Selling at $80,000 with a 0.1% fee returns about $1,597, a profit of roughly $597 (+59.7%). Leaving fees out makes your profit look bigger than it is, which matters most when you trade often.
Why the break-even price matters
Fees mean the price has to rise a little before you are actually in profit. The break-even price shows exactly where that point is. If you use a card or a high-fee app, check it before selling: a small gain on the chart can still be a loss in your account.
