On Tuesday alone, they took in another $418 million, including $16.7 million for the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">Brazil-based Hashdex announced today that it was finally bringing its Bitcoin spot ETF online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">Such flows already represent a massive leg up over previous years when money within institutional Bitcoin funds paled in comparison to today. According to CryptoQuant, this metric has risen from less than $20 billion to over $94.6 billion in the past six months as excitement around the ETFs began to take hold.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">On-chain data shows that demand from \u201caccumulation addresses\u201d\u2014Bitcoin addresses that only buy and never sell\u2014has also skyrocketed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">\u201cWe estimate monthly Bitcoin demand has increased from 40K Bitcoin at the start of 2024 to 213K Bitcoin currently,\u201d CryptoQuant Head of Research Julio Moreno told Decrypt. \u201cAn important part of this demand growth has been driven by ETF buying, but lately also from other large investors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">Compared to previous years, Hougan also said that investors have dialed up their once ideal 1% Bitcoin portfolio share, now preferring 3% or higher. The executive believes ETFs are the cause, having \u201cde-risked\u201d Bitcoin in the eyes of many.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">\u201cBefore, people were worried bitcoin could go to zero. In that world, a 1% allocation is all you can stomach,\u201d he said. \u201cBut if \u201cgoing to zero\u201d is off the table, 3% or 5% starts to make more sense.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">According to Coinshares\u2019 Head of Research James Butterfill, most institutional investors remain \u201cvery under invested\u201d in Bitcoin, which comprises only a 0.2% average share of their portfolios.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">\u201cWhat proportion Bitcoin ends up being is dependent on risk appetite,\u201d Butterfill told Decrypt, \u201cA 4% position would represent only 100 basis point of
