Solana Triggers a TD Buy Signal Around $100, but SOL’s Potential Gains Depend on…

Solana’s Recovery: Indicators and Market Dynamics

In early January, the TD Sequential indicator accurately identified Solana’s local top, which was followed by a significant price decline. Since that time, the downside sequence has completed, and a new buy signal has emerged. This transition is crucial, as it signals an exhaustion phase rather than a simple distribution. While it indicates that the downward momentum may have run its course, it does not imply a complete trend reversal. Instead, this buy signal suggests a short-term recovery window where selling pressures may subside temporarily.

Current Price Action and Resistance Levels

Solana [SOL] has demonstrated a positive rebound from the significant support level around $100, which has repeatedly attracted buying interest. Following this foundation, the price has approached $104, thus validating the presence of buyers in the market. Nevertheless, the overall market structure is somewhat mixed, reflected in a descending regression trend that has continually limited upside potential. The price remains above the regression mean, which has historically rejected bullish attempts near the $120 and $146 levels. Consequently, while this rebound indicates some stabilization, it lacks substantial strength and remains conditional on maintaining levels above $100.

MACD Insights: Stabilization Over Reversal

Analysis of the MACD, which is currently positioned below the zero line, supports the prevailing bearish outlook. However, recent behavior indicates a notable change, where the histogram is flattening, signaling a reduction in selling pressure. Unlike previous declines that saw significant momentum drops, this time the momentum loss appears controlled, suggesting an easing of the bearish trend. While the MACD has not yet crossed into positive territory, its current stance favors stabilization more than a robust upward trend. As such, while the conditions support a recovery narrative, market participants should remain cautious regarding the lack of a decisive bullish impulse.

Buyer Dominance in Market Activity

Spot Taker CVD has shown buyer dominance even amidst recent downward pressures, highlighting that traders are actively executing market buys. This behavior is crucial as it reveals a sense of urgency among buyers, contrasting earlier market sentiment where aggressive buying failed to elevate prices due to overwhelming seller pressure. Currently, the market shows a more constructive response to demands, suggesting that the absorption of supply is starting to facilitate a genuine recovery. Nevertheless, despite this buying predominance, sellers remain active at overhead levels near regression resistance, emphasizing the need for sustained buyer activity to ensure upward momentum.

Exchange Outflows and Selling Pressure

Recent trends in Solana’s exchange outflows have indicated a decrease in immediate selling pressure, with approximately $52.4 million in SOL being withdrawn from exchanges. This trend is significant as it suggests a reduced supply available for immediate sales, especially as prices rebound towards $104. The sustained outflows indicate that holders are opting for custody instead of distributing into market strength, diverging from typical relief rally dynamics where inflows usually increase. While these negative netflows do not inherently guarantee price increases, they do contribute to reducing forced sell pressures during pullbacks, which is an encouraging sign for ongoing recovery.

Conclusion: Path to Recovery

In summary, Solana’s rebound appears grounded in genuine stabilization fueled by supportive sequences such as the TD buy signal, easing bearish momentum, strong buyer activity, and continued outflows from exchanges. Despite this positive uptake, the price remains capped beneath the defined descending regression resistance, leading to a scenario that favors controlled recovery instead of outright trend reversal. To build a robust upward trajectory, Solana would need to reclaim critical regression levels while maintaining a hold above the $100 support to solidify the ongoing recovery narrative.

Final Thoughts

The market for Solana displays signs of deliberate recovery backed by solid demand rather than hasty short-covering activities. However, the prevailing trend resistance continues to pose risks, requiring decisive follow-through from buyers to sustain any upward movement. As the situation unfolds, it will be crucial for market participants to monitor these dynamics closely to assess Solana’s potential for further recovery in a challenging landscape.
